Painting with food

Artist Hong Yi decided to play with her food 30 days and make illustrations and paintings with it. She made two rules, the image had to be made of food only and the backdrop would always be a white plate.

What she ended up with were painting and illustrations of landscapes, animals, the story of the three little pigs and a even a portrait of Justin Bieber.

Margaret Thatcher dies at 87

Today ex-prime minister Margaret Thatcher passed away at the age of 87.

Thatcher was known as ‘The Iron Lady’ because of her hard style of leadership from 1979 until 1990.

Prime Minister David Cameron replied to the news of Thatchers dead with “We have lost a great leader, a great prime minister and a great Briton”.

During her time as Prime Minister, Thatcher placed her stamp on the British society by harsh economic reforms. With her strong sense of nationalism she made a lot of Britons proud to be British again.

Fashion meets Graphic Design

Photographer Maan Limburg teamed up with graphics designer Irma Theunisse to create this quite amazing photo series in which fashion photography meets graphic design.

Called simply “GG”, this series features the beautiful model Gemma Galeno in spontaneous shots and fashionable outfits.

The shoot was styled by Gracia Visscher and the make-up was done by Camee Jongeneel.

Agent Orange

NeonLynxie (a.k.a. Lilex) is on fire lately with these awesome self portraits.

Agent Orange was a controversial chemical solution used during the Vietnam War, but this glamour portrait brings out the beauty of the colour.

The beautiful Crisilde is back! This time in a simple portait we took during an improvised shoot. Working with Crisilde is always great fun and I’m sure she’ll return on the blog in the future.
