Sugar skull

I’ve seen a lot of these skull make-up pictures. Most look cheap and poorly done. DocoPhoto succeeded in making a cool piece of art by using the right colours and the excellent make-up by Dinaday makeup.

I still have trouble figuring this picture out. On what is she leaning, and what is causing the flare? I know it’s the shape of a flash, so it’s probably a reflection of the flash but I don’t see any glass in which it reflects.
